DC COMMUNITY CATCHES WIND OF UNIVERSOUL CIRCUS PRINCIPAL DANCER
PRINCIPAL DANCER, SEON “SHOW BOY” NURSE SHARES THE GIFT OF DANCE

WITH PERRY SCHOOL

PERRY SCHOOL Summer Camp Students get a glimpse of what circus life is like with
Caribbean Dynasty’s Principal Dancer, Seon “Show Boy” Nurse- MONDAY, JULY 16, 2018.

Gals and Guys of ages 10 years+ take on the traditional Folk Dances of Trinidad in the Spirit of
Soca Music and its Carnival Celebration. Hailing from Morvant Laventille, Seon is a
internationally recognized dancer; studied and danced in China with the Beijing Dance
Academy.

Anyone who has been under the bigtop with the UniverSOUL Circus has seen a group of Brown
Dancers dressed in vibrant colors, sassy frills and sequins bringing on a Masquerade Party to
its audience. Caribbean Dynasty hails from Trinidad & Tobago, a lineup of Girls and the Limbo
King Guy himself, Seon Nurse. They perform stunt routines including the six inch limbo of
Blazing Fire that leaves audience in jaw dropping mesmerization.

Master Class w/ Seon-- Washington City District Community shares in the gift of Traditional
Trinidadian Folk dance with the students and staff of Perry School. Participating Dancers, learn
original choreography and repertory for a (1.5) hour class. Placing the Circus Show in the hands
of the people! “It’s a very important thing to draw performers close to their audience so they can
feel a part of the show. Once they get a taste, they want to try it out for themselves and learn
more.” - Perry School Art Teacher.

Seon inspires the kids to be GREAT, to never give up and to be always be HAPPY. The passion
that he brings to any setting makes it clear why Caribbean Dynasty is voted one of audiences
favorite routines out of all that the UniverSOUL has to offer!!! It is truly a blessing to now bridge
Trinidadian heritage with a communities that reaches countries away.
